John Kayode Fayemi Centre (JFKC) provide nursing mother, children in Ekiti with gifts Items

The John Kayode Fayemi Centre (JKFC), will on Monday (tomorrow) commence the distribution of varieties of food items to nursing mothers and children to cushion the effects of the prevailing economic hardship being suffered in Ekiti State.
Briefing reporters on the development on Saturday, Director of the JKF Centre, Biodun Omoleye, explained that food items to be distributed include beverages, noodles, spaghetti, cereals, salt, semovita and wheat among others.
According to JFKC Director, the venue for the distribution is the JKF situation office located along Ajilosun Street, Ado-Ekiti adding that beneficiaries have been contacted to collect their shares while some will be taken to beneficiaries outside the state capital.
Omoleye disclosed that they are to be distributed to the vulnerable people through organised forum like churches, mosques and other Centres identified by the JKF centre. He said the items will be donated as a stop-gap measure to cushion the effects of food crisis arising from the non-payment of salaries in the last six months.
He stated that the intervention of the Centre will greatly alleviate the sufferings of Ekiti people, especially women and children, who are the worst hit. He added that the organisation read in newspapers the disturbing news of how otherwise decent house wives and nursing mothers were stealing foodstuffs and soup while babies and children are subjected to agonizing conditions ever witnessed since the creation of the State.

EFCC a toothless bull - dog."- Obasanjo


Former President,  Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo marked his 79th birthday today Saturday 5th of March. Many Nigerian’s shower encomium on him. Among those that gathered were Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Science and Technology Minister, Ogbonnaya Onu, ex - governors Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Niyel Imoke, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Transport Minister,  Amaechi said: "Nigerians agreed that you love Nigeria and I have never seen a Nigeria that disagree that you love Nigeria so they believe that at all times you want to save Nigeria and that is where the disagreement starts.
"As you want to save Nigeria, areas you may take a decision, some will support, others will not support. I think Nigerians will agree that you've made a lot of infrastructural contribution to the development of Nigeria.
"Until recently during the military regime you served first, a lot of the assets Nigeria had, if they mentioned the name, they will mention your name.
"Anytime you're out of government and you withdraw, crises come, you come back to scene to help out and to ensure that we don't detsory as a country and because of those roles, Nigerias have continiously prayed for you."

Obasanjo praised Nigerians for the pleasant things said about him, said Nigeria still needs to get certain things right not only to make the anti - corruption war more effective, but also ensure the safety of Nigerians in midst of security threat.
The ex - President who took a brief look at what used to be the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) under the Pioneer, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, and what it is today, concluded regrettably that the Anti - graft agency has become a "toothless bull - dog."

He explained that there was the need to do an appraisal to know why the EFCC was dreaded because of its effectiveness during his administration, began to lose courage.
According to him, the appraisal is crucial so that the nation does not take one step forwards and take three steps backward.
