| Francis-Odesanya |
The
police in Rivers State yesterday say in the last six weeks it arrested 70
persons including a woman and youths over alleged involvement in various
criminal activities across the state even as it successfully rescued 11 kidnap
victims, among which was a 7-year-old Fortune Etuke who was kidnapped in his
residence at Uzoba area of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area (LGA), of the state
last month.
The
State Commissioner of Police (CP), Zaki Ahmed, disclosed these when he paraded
the 70 suspects in Port Harcourt, weekend.
They
also paraded a 24 year-old Micheal Asu, a native of Ohazara in Ebonyi State,
described as a serial offender who specializes in printing fake currencies,
especially (N1000, N500 notes). Also found on him was a piece of fake $100
note.
He
allegedly owns a printing machine with which he reels out the counterfeit notes
in his Port Harcourt residence.
The
security operatives in the period under review equally reportedly held Noble
Ngiagia, Ibinatem Agbani Lawson and Samuel Monime Princewill who are members of
a Sea pirate gangster that holds sway on waterways in the riverine areas of the
state.
The
gang was allegedly responsible for various kidnap, robbery and murder cases
recorded along the water ways, including the killing in June 23, September 3,
and November 18, 2016, four Police officers attached to Marine Police.
Three Farmers Arrested by NDLEA
The
National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said it had arrested
three farmers in Kulani village, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State
for allegedly cultivating 160 Kilograms of Indian hemp.
The
NDLEA Commandant in the state, Mr Aliyu Adole, stated this in a chat with
newsmen in Gombe.
Adole
said many farmers were involved in the cultivation of the weed in the state and
the agency had been on their trail.
He
said the agency had been monitoring the suspects before their arrest.
According
to him: “This morning my boys went to the bush and brought them with the
exhibits.’’
The
commandant said the agency would continue to comb villages in the state to
apprehend those involve in the cultivation of Cannabis.
He
called on elders and leaders of communities in the state to prevail on their
people to stop planting the weed and to report anyone involved in its farming
to the agency.
One
of the suspects told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that he was planting the weed
because of poverty.
The suspect said he
had been advised by his people to stop planting the weed but he refused to
listen to them.
27 Plateau villages under 'strange' Fulani control - lawmaker
Member representing Riyom
Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Dem has raised
alarm that over 27 Berom villages are been held by unknown Fulani herdsmen in
his constituency.
The lawmaker also said the armed
Fulani who attacked and drove Berom from the communities are not the known
Fulanis that have settled among the native Berom.
Dem made this known in an
interview with The Nation in his
office at the House of Assembly complex.
He said, "Berom people who
were driven away from their homes are in thousands and are currently taking
refuge at a safer ground."
"It is not a joke to say
there are IDPs camps in my constituency. Just recently, the National Emergency
Management Agency (NEMA) in company of member representing Riyom/Barkin Ladi Federal
Constituency visited the IDPs camp to deliver some relief materials.
"It is true we have IDPs in
Riyom Local Government and they are not in one camp; there are several of them.
These people have been taking refuge in market stalls for more than two years.
Some are squatting with their relations and they are not finding things easy.
They are in pathetic situation; they are in thousands who were displaced from
various villages.”
Some of the villages affected, he
said include: Rafpen, Mase, Shonong, Lua from Bachit district; Jol, Rim, Gwol,
Tahol, Sopp while from Riyom district; Jebbu, Kwaki, Gwarim, Gwom and Torok.
He said these villages have been
attacked more than twice, prompting them to relocate for safety. “As soon they
relocated, these Fulani will take over their houses and remain there.”
Dem disclosed that "Even
though there are no more attacks in the areas, government has not been able to
guarantee the security of these displaced people to return to their homes. I
think the situation of displaced persons in my constituency poses a very huge
challenge to governments at all levels; their rehabilitation is beyond the
capacity of state and local government authorities.”
He said the people need shelter
and security and that though they are ready to go home, they have no home to
return to and they have been driven away from their farm lands.
"I made a case when NEMA
brought relief materials last week, that the need of these people is not relief
materials. They need rehabilitation and empowerment to get back to life again. If
they can have shelter and adequate security, they can farm and feed themselves.”
The lawmaker said.
He applauded the efforts of
security agencies, especially Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and the state
government for restoring peace in the state.
Media officer of OPSH, Captain
Umar Ahmed however said, "The command is not aware of any IDPs camp in
Riyom local government; we are not also aware of any village forcefully
occupied by armed Fulani men.”

| Ooni, and Olori Wuraola |
About
Seventeen month ago The royal Kingdom in Africa was fill with joy as the newly Crown
first Class king set to married, all road lead to Benin town in Edo State as Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi send
his family and royal house in Ile-Ife to fetch for his wife, Olori Wuraola,

The Millions of
dollars married crashed like a cracked egg. The wedding was the most glamorous
and most talked about, from the planning and guest list distinguished
it from other wedding ceremonies.
Some
months age according to in source, there are been allegation and counter allegation
from both parties.
Olori
wuraola was accused of many unprintable things, and lack of commitment to her
marital vows and many say’s it was her past life style that is affecting her
that’s why she could not conceived talkless of having her own child.
While some accused the well-respected monarch as not been
faithful to an agreement he had before their wedding that he Ooni would not
marry another woman, and they both agreed to it but now the Ooni is willing to
take another woman, reneging from the agreement which has led to the genesis of
this crisis, and that
Ooni wanted to send her out of the palace to bring another woman
into the palace and he knows he can’t do that having Olori Wuraola in the palace.
But According to Yoruba tradition a traditional King is hot
restricted to marry one wife but as many as he wanted and that there is no
barren king in the palace of Oodua. This also put pressure on Kabiyesi to marry
another wife.
There is still another issue about the Olori wuraola that she as
not been in a talking term with the Monarch siblings Princess Folashade,
Adesola and Adebimpe.
One of our source who is a friend to one of Ooni’s Sisters say’s
“Kabiyesi have right to married whoever he wanted to marry, our relationship
with Olori is cordial we don’t have anything against her, but we respect
Kabiyesi’s decision on every issues.
Baba Oba’s
Involvement:
There are been another allegation against Baba Oba, Prince Aderopo
Ogunwusi who is father of Oba
Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi of not playing a
fatherly roll, but that is not true, another family source speak’s to our
reporter say there is no father that will allow is son’s marriage to crashed.
But the problem is that Prince Aderopo Ogunwusi, the Ooni’s father cannot see
his son again but they speak through phone calls and intermediary person the
Baba as be in the front roll to make thing right.

President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to mediate between her and her husband, the
Ooni of Ife but right now she is not in the palace at Ile-Ife
New Queen
A reliable family source confirm that “there
is a new queen in the Palace now Bola, she is from Ogun State a pure Yoruba lady,
who understand Yoruba Culture and tradition and she will honored them. Though Olori
Wuraola did not parked out of the Palace but she traveled and she has not come
back, the new Olori has been in the palace before she, Olori Wuraola traveled”
