The Police have rescued nine years old boy who was
chained to a heavy of wood and locked inside a room for months by his Pastor -
father, Taiwo Francis.
The boy, Korede Taiwo was freed on Friday by Police
Operatives attached to the Onipanu Divisional Police Headquarters, Ogun
State, from the forced and unlawful incarceration.
Taiwo who is said to be the pastor of The Key of Joy
Celestial Church, Ajibawo area, in Atan Otta, Ado Odo Otta Local Government
Area of the state, chained his son from the neck to the wood because of his
continous stealing.
Accoding to The Police Public Relations Officer,
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police freed the
boy from false imprisonment following a tip - off from a neighbour.
" The step mother of Korede, Kehinde
Taiwo(female)who has been arrested by the police, revealed that Korede's
father's cruel act was connected to the habit of stealing exhibited by Korede,"
Adejobi said.
Young Korede was treated by the police and is also
receiving necessary attention from the Police preparatory to his being
handed over to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun state
soon.
